- NAICS Code: 813920 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Indoor Environments Division (IED) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to the American Association of Health Plans-Health Insurers Association of America (AAHP-HIAA) for sponsorship of their 2004 Conference on Addressing Tobacco as a Public Health Issue. AAHP-HIAA is the national trade association representing nearly 1,300 member companies providing health, dental, long-term care, disability, and supplemental insurance coverage to more than 200 million Americans. Health plans and insurers are an important potential partner in the IED's efforts to reduce the percentage of children age six and under who are regularly exposed to secondhand smoke in indoor environments, especially homes and cars. This conference offers IED a unique opportunity to educate leaders in the healthcare community on the latest tobacco control activities and policies, including secondhand smoke. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
