Description

The USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service in East Lansing Michigan has issued a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for Cartographic Services to recompile soil survey maps for Ionia County, Michigan. The Ionia County, Michigan Soil Survey was initially published in December 1967 on a non-rectified photo background of 1956 aerial photographs. The scale of the original published soil survey is 1:15,840. The purpose of this project is to transfer the soil lines, soil map symbols and special soil features (spot symbols) from the non-rectified 1:15,840 TO A 1:12,000 scale quarter quad ortho photo base through manual recompilation. The maps to be furnished to the successful bidder. Request for Quotation packages can be requested by email to bonnie.kilgore@mi.usda.gov All requests will bemade by March 29, 2004. No telephone requests will be considered. Experience and qualifications must be provided when submitting the quote for evaluation. A lump sum bid is being requested. The price range of cost is expected to be between $15,000 - $25,000.
