Description

The USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service in East Lansing Michigan has issued a Request for Quotations for Cartographic Services to recompile soil survey maps for Ingham County. The Ingham County Soil Survey was initally published in December 1979 on a non-rectified photo background of 1976 aerial photographs. The scale of this survey is 1:15,840, the purpose of this project is to transfer the soil ones, soil map symbols and special soil features (spot symbols) from the non-rectified 1:15,840 t0 a 1:12,000 scale quarter quad ortho-photo base through manual recompilation. Request for Qutations packages can be requested by email to bonnie.kilgore@mi.usda.gov All requests for the Request for Quote Packages to be made by March 29, 2004. No telephone requests will be considered. Experience and qualifications must be provided when submitting the quote for evaluation. A lump sum bid is being requested. The range of cost is expected to be between $10,000 to 20,000. Quotes are due April 16, 2004 and to be mailed to USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Attn: Bonnie Kilgore, CO, 3001 Coolidge Road, Suite 250, East Lansing, MI 48823
