- Description
- The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) is seeking potential sources capable of performing Full Food Services for Edwards AFB, CA. This Sources Sought Notice is to determine small business interest and capability. This is not a formal solicitation. Any formal solicitation will be announced separately. The Air Force reserves the right to set-aside this entire acquisition for small business entities. The Contractor tasks include, but are not limited to the following: serving and replenishing food, cleaning facilities, equipment, utensils, preparing vegetables and fruits for the salad bar, bussing tables in dining areas, performing cashier services, handling foods, supplies, and equipment, maintaining quality control, ensuring operator maintenance and minor/major repair of food service equipment, and in the event of contingency, perform all required dining facility tasks to include cooking to ensure continued service. Edwards AFB food service operation consists of one (1) main dining facility, The Joshua Tree Inn. This facility is dedicated to providing full meal service and meeting the nutritional needs of Department of Defense (DoD) personnel who frequent the facility. The Joshua Tree Inn provides boxed meals for passengers and crews in support of flying missions and to customers requesting them in support of ground operations. We anticipate the contract type will be fixed price, small business, and subject to the Randolph Sheppard Act, under NAICS 722310, with a size standard of $17,500,000.00. The total period of performance will be five years, structured by a one year basic period and up to four (4) option year periods to start 1 October 2004. Contractors are asked to submit capability statements expressing interest and intent. If you are a small business that performs on contracts under NAICS 722310 and plan on participating, please provide information relative to past performance and/or experience similar to Full Food Service contracts. Information should be sufficient to support your capability to perform these requirements and should include detailed references (contract number, dollar value, scope of services and point of contact with their telephone numbers and whether is was a Government or Commercial type contract). Contractors should provide their information via email to Kim Davis, Contract Specialist, kim.davis@edwards.af.mil by 22 March 2004, 4:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Based on the information received, an RFP will be issued in the near future on Federal Business Opportunities (www.eps.gov) website. NO PAPER COPIES WILL BE ISSUED.
