- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis Only. Requests for copies of solicitations will not receive a response. The Product Manager, Weapons of Mass Destruction-Civil Support Teams is conducting a market research to determine which potential bidders would have the capability to provide Chemical and Biological Detection Equipment (CBDE) to be utilized in a Civil Support vehicle, developed by the US Army for deployment to the Army National Guard. This CBDE must detect low-level biological warfare agents, che mical warfare agents (CWA), toxic industrial chemicals (TICs), toxic industrial materials (TIMs) and radiological material (RM). The CBDE must operate in a mobile environment for sustained periods of at least seventy two (72)hours without outside technical support for repair or operations. Consumable materials such as reagents, or gasses must be fully identified, as well as ancillary equipment even if manufactured by another vendor. Only those companies that can presently provide CBDE whould submit informa tion. No other specifications or information other than provided above, is available at this time. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. Al l sources that are able to provide CBDE should submit their interest in writing to the below identified contract specialist. Information, at a minimum, should include: informational brochures, company name, address, telephone number, facsimile number, typ e of business (large or small) and point of contact. Your company will be provided a user name and password within five (5) days after receipt of the above information, to access a questionnaire on the web. A questionnaire will be provided in hard copy i f you do not have web access. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this announcement. This synopsis does not restrict the Government to any resultant acquisition approach.
