Description

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), a government agency, intends to award, on a competitive basis, a labor hour contract for actuarial services to perform the following tasks relative to PBGC?s Integrated Present Value of Future Benefits (IPVFB) actuarial software: (1) software maintenance and development of enhancements to the existing software; (2) revisions and updates to the system documentation and to the documentation of the control procedures; (3) onsite support to the Actuarial Services Division during the quarterly valuations of the Present Value of Future Benefits (PVFB); and (4) related projects to enhance the accuracy, reliability, or auditability of the PVFB process. In addition, although some personnel from outside the Washington, D.C. area may be used, PBGC intends to limit competition to those offerors who maintain an office in the Washington, D.C. Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the U. S. Department of Commerce. The period of performance for the base year shall be from October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005 with four one-year options for renewal. Telephone requests for this solicitation will NOT be honored. The solicitation document will be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov website. The site contains downloading instructions. All information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. The estimated issue date of this solicitation is on or about March 31, 2004.
