Description

The Coast Guard is sole sourcing this solicitaion for Berthing located on Jekyll Island Georgia. The dates of stay are 15 May 2004 thru 13 Jun 2004 for 149 rooms. The restrictions on this sole source have been outlined by the FBI. The Secret Service assumes its mandated role as the lead agency for the design and implementation of the operational security plan and Federal resources are deployed to maintain the level of security needed for the event and the area. The event has been designated a National Special Security Event. The Department of State has placed on hold all Lodging requirements in the vicinty of the venue. The Department of State also sets the rates for the Berthing requirements and the Secret Service assigns the Berthing accomodations.
