Description
The purpose of this modification is to incorporate further information to this combined synopsis/solicitation as follows: Castor Wheels 3" rubber tired locking casters; Lamp stored in covered shelf when not in use 36" gooseneck, 15 feet long power cord; Swing Arm Latch centered on side of each door is a steel slide bolt; Shelf bottom of table adds extra support 1/16" thick sheet of aluminum; Bottom framework a ledge or lip around the bottom of table legs to hold shelf, shelf will be used to hold samples approximately 200 lbs. 1/8 x 30 1/4 x 52 3/4 al; amending drawings will be posted shortly. Response date has been extended to March 18, 2004. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION. The USDA, Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS), North Highlands, CA, intends to procure twenty-eight (28) vegetable grading tables. A first article sample is required with 30 days after contract award. Delivery is required within 30 days after notification of approval of the first article sample. F.O.B. Origin. Submit faxed quotations to ?Purchasing Section? at (612) 336-3224. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE MARCH 16, 2004 BY 11:00 a.m. local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SOLICITATION/SYNOPSIS for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation/synopsis document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-19. Applicable FAR clauses are incorporated are incorporated by reference: Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items 52.212-1 (10-03); Offeror Representations and Certifications 52.212-3 (10/03); Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items 52.212-4 (10/03); Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items 52.212-5 (10/03). ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A QUOTATION FOR CONSIDERATION. All offers must be signed. The following specifications also apply: Aluminum thickness = .90; legs = 1.25 No sharp edges, all edges are to be rounded; All drain holes are to be notched; Assembly instructions will indicate that bolts, washers and nuts are installed on the outside; Hooks are to be placed outside of each door hinge; bag hanger height 36 inches and horizontal bar 12? long; curve ends of rod so bags will not slip off; bottom bracket for bag hangers positioned in the middle of both side walls. Bag typically holds approximately 25 pounds. Replace cross braces and center rod with aluminum braces and add shelf. Shelf used to hold samples that may weigh 200 pounds. SHIPPING: Ship each table in an appropriate heavy-duty cardboard carton, securing or bracing contents to prevent shipping damage or loss and securely banding the carton with polypropylene strapping. Each table should have six (6) spare self-locking nuts. Award will be based on the lowest price technically acceptable to the Government.
