Description
Eglin Air Force Base has a contemplated requirement to solicit, negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price contract to purchase an ULTRA VIOLET MISSILE SIMULATOR. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being used to determine potential sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) Code is 334511 with a small business size of 750 employees. At a minimum the system shall: - Be capable of providing at least 500 MW/sr maximum intensity when operating at 100% power output mode in band (250mm to 290mm). - Be capable of adjusting both output power and time via remote RS-232 serial port. - Temporal outputs shall be adjustable in increments of 5 ms or less. - The output power shall be adjustable in increments of 5ms or less. - Minimum incremental output power adjustment shall be .0001% - Maximum output profiles no greater than 2 seconds - Include a UV witness sensor that is capable of measuring a time history of the in band intensity of the stimulator?s output power - Have a half power beam divergence of no greater than +/-2.5 degrees - Be capable of operating from a 120 vpt AC single phase power supply unit - Be remotely controlled via RS 232 serial port or as a stand alone unit - The Optical Output Module shall have dimensions no greater than - 250 mmX250mmX500mm and a mass of no greater than 15Kg - Operating temp: -40C to 55C - 2. Interested sources are requested to provide a statement of current capability to provide this equipment with past experience information in producing similar products. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide the following information: (1) company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone and facsimile numbers, and type and business size indicating whether you are a small or large business for purposes of the assigned NAICS; (2) a list of your most relevant and recent DOD or commercial contracts for the same or similar equipment; (3) information telling us about your company and why you think you can perform this contract. Limit your response to a total of 8 pages. In order to be considered in this market survey, responses are required not later than close of business 2 April 2004. Only submissions received by this date will be considered in determining the method of acquisition. Telephone responses are not acceptable.
