Description

SYSTEMS/MODULAR/FREESTANDING FURNITURE MAINTENANCE: The Operational Contracting Branch, 88 ABW/PKSA, will issue solicitation, FA8601-04-R-0004, approximately 19 Mar 2004 and the close date is 19 Apr 2004 for the acquisition of systems/modular/freestanding furniture maintenance for the 88 Air Base Wing Civil Engineering Group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH 45433. Specific requirements will include, but are not limited to the following: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform the systems/modular/freestanding furniture maintenance contract. The contractor shall perform total management to provide up to date automated inventory and control of installed and warehoused assets of various organizations located a Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, purchase of supplementary components/materials, storage and automated warehousing and transportation, turn-in of damaged or unwanted furniture, quality control, furniture layout (computer aided design/redesign with automated take-off capabilities), relocation and installation labor to include electrical hookup/disconnect to the facility energy system, maintenance and repair labor to include panel and product cleaning, and transportation. This will not be a contract for the purchase of new systems/modular furniture workstations. The anticipated period of performance is one year, 01 Sep 04 ? 31 Aug 05. The contract includes provision for four option periods of one year each: Option Period I 01 Sep 05 - 31 Aug 06, Option Period II 01 Sep 06-31 Aug 07, Option Period III 01 Sep 07 - 31 Aug 08, Option Period IV 01 Sep 08-31 Aug 09. The proposed contract is 100 % set aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561210, with an associated size standard of $30 Million. The Request for Proposal (RFP) and the Statement of Work (SOW) will be posted on the ASC Preaward Information Exchange System (PIXS) at the web site: http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil. The RFP will be issued electronically approximately 19 Mar 04 on PIXS. Paper copies of the RFP will not be provided. The RFP can be downloaded and printed from the World Wide Web at the address above. After the solicitation has been posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the web site frequently for updates to the documents. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal and shall be considered. A completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3. Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items must be submitted with the offer. Facsimile or alternate proposals are not acceptable. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to award for solicitations issued after 31 May 98.
