ANNOUNCEMENT TO FEDBIZOPPS PR# 04-2070-0396 ACTION: P - Presolicitation Notice CONTACT: Robert Rubien The U.S. Geological Survey, Center for Aquatic Resource Studies, intends to make a non-competitive award via written request for quotation No. 04ERSS0042 to Harbor Branch Oceonographic in Gainesville, Florida, for the purpose of chartering a submersible vessel with a supporting mother vessel. The period of performance is for 8 days yet to be determined during the period between 7/1/04 and 9/30/04. Harbor Branch Oceonographic is uniquely qualifed because they are the only platform available that meets the minimum specifications and is available on the cruise dates. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The anticipated award date is as yet to be determined but is for 8 days between 7/1/04 and 9/30/04. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Solicitation No. 04ERSS0042 may be viewed at the following website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
