Description
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. DTFASW-04-R-00009 CONTROL WING BASEMENT MODIFICATION NUMBER 2 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified Small Business construction contractors interested in providing offers to install four chilled water air handling units and all controls, control programming, power to units, conduit, plumbing, etc., associated with these four units, in the north end control wing basement computer room; Installation of an electric water cooler and installation of new lights at the north end control wing basement, Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC). This procurement is set-aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237990. The estimated price range of this project is $150, 000 -$250,000. Contract performance time is 150 calendar days. This project will be done in two phases. Phase I will consist of providing and installing a four-inch EMT conduit under the raised floor of the control wing basement. The NTP for this work will be issued within 5 days of contract award. Contractor will complete this work in approximately 5 days and will demobilize and return to perform Phase II of the project; i.e., the installation of four (4) computer room air-handling units. During demobilization period contractor will be working on submittals for Phase II work. It may be possible for contractor to install lights as soon as light submittals are approved in advance of installation of air-handling units. The contractor is expected to perform 20% of the work using its own employees. A determination as to whether or not a pre-bid meeting will held will be made at a latter date. The Request for Offer Package is expected to be available to small business contractors on March 22, 2004. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than noon March 19, 2004.
