- Description
- Potential sources sought. The USCG ELC is seeking qualified sources to provide replacement parts. These parts consists of: (1) 5998-01-072-9670, Megatron Charger p/n 03-4266-9671, QTY 18 each; (2) NSN 5998-01-072-9671, Megatron Assembly (complete) p/n 03-2900-101, QTY 28 each; (3) NSN 5998-10-072-9672, Power Supply & Controller Assy (complete) p/n 03-17900-101, QTY 40 each; (4) NSN 5998-01-068-2382 Patco Assy (complete) p/n 03-3357-101 QTY 1 each; (5) NSN 5998-01-072-9324, Microprocessor PCB for Patco, P/N 32-3540-101, QTY 8 each. These parts are utilized on the AN/FPN-64 (v) series Loran SSX Transmitter which was manufactured by the OEM, Megapulse, Inc. Delivery will be F.O.B. Destination, USCG ELC, 2401 Hawkins Point Rd, Baltimore, MD. The USCG ELC does not possess the manufacturer engineering drawings, test procedures or test specification. Megapulse, Inc., located at 101 Billerica Avenue, 4 Billerica Business Center, North Billerica, MA 01862 possess all the proprietary data. Therefore, it is the Government's belief that only Megapulse, Inc. can provide these parts and intends to award a contract. Interested parties having the expertise and capabilities are invited to submit detailed information discussing their capabilities regarding these parts nlt than 03/24/04. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered parts: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics), or 2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer. No cost or pricing data is required and this IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Government does not intend to pay for this information solicited. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate their capabilities to meet the requirement. NUMBERED NOTE 22.
