The DTS-PO provides global network infrastructure and services to approximately 50 different U.S. Government Departments and Agencies. As part of its mission to provide robust and reliable communications to the Foreign Affairs community, the DTS-PO conducts lab testing of network equipment and applications. An important component of that testing is the capability to simulate the delay and random errors inherent to communications media. This market survey is intended to identify products with the following capabilities: ? Support for synchronous serial, T1/E1, DS3/E3, and SONET physical interfaces ? Support for a variety of timing references, including an external reference ?
