Description

The Social Security Administration has a site license for VSUM/MVS from CSI Iternational Fantom Systems, 8120 State Route 138, Williamsport, Ohio 43164. The Social Security Administration under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements", plans to extend the existing site license and associated maintenance of SSA?s VSUM/MVS software to two new central processing units. The anticipated award date is April, 2004. There will be five options for maintenance. The first option period will be for April/May (depending upon award date) through Sept 30, 2004. The 4 remaining option periods will be for the periods 10/01/04 thru 9/30/05, 10/01/05 thru 9/30/06, 10/01/06 through 9/30/07 and 10/01/07 thru 9/30/08. The 5-year systems life value of this maintenance support is below the simplified acquisition threshold. The Government anticipates the award of a modification to an existing firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. A solicitation is not available; therefore, written and/or verbal requests for copies of a solicitation related to this announcement will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
