Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA has a requirement for Launch Handling System modifications aboard the NOAA Ship THOMAS JEFFERSON, a 208 foot, 45 ft beam (molded) vessel. Vessel's homeport is Norfolk, VA. The NAICS is 336611. All work will be performed at vessel?s home port. The performance period will start on or about June 25, 2004 and shall be completed on or before July 25, 2004. All work shall be performed in accordance with NOAA detailed and standard specifications to be provided at ship check and with the solicitation. Vessel will be available for inspection from March 23, 2004 thru April 2, 2004 at vessel?s homeport, Norfolk, VA. Arrangements for inspection can be made by contacting the Port Engineer, Neil Lamartin at (757)441-6369). At the present time, this acquisition will be issued as a RFQ under the CASCADING PROCUREMENT STRATEGY, therefore if a minimum of two (2) offers from qualified small business concerns are received for the services/supplies specified within the solicitation, the Government reserves the right to set aside the award for small business. If two or more small business offers are not received, the award will be made on the basis of full and open competition from among all responsible businesses submitting offers. No Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating assigned. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov and obtain (and provide with the offer) a DUNS number by calling 1-800-333-0505.
