Description

The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) intends to acquire on the basis of Other Than Full and Open Competition four (4) each Aerator Products 60 HP, 120 RPM, 460 volt, 3 phase, 60 hertz with the following materials of construction: SS Series Aerator ? Materials of Construction; Motor Shaft ? one piece 17-4 PH Stainless Steel; Propeller ? 316 Stainless Steel, dynamically balanced; Discharge Cone ? 304 Stainless Steel, monolithic casting; Volute ? 304 Stainless Steel; Intake Cone/Anti-Erosion ? 304 Stainless Steel. This is a Notice of Intent to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for the above items to Aerator Products, 11765 Main Street, Roscoe, Illinois 61073 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Aerators will be used in the Waste Water Treatment Plant and are manufactured by Aerator Products. There is a reasonable basis to conclude that the agency?s minimum needs can only be satisfied by the product patented and provided by Aerator Products. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. There is no solicitation document available. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any and all proposals received by 5:00 p.m., MST, on April 9, 2004, will be considered by the Government. Assertion of capability to provide the required supplies must be submitted in writing to Dolores Hinton, International Boundary and Water commission, 4171 North Mesa, El Paso, TX 79902.
