Description
PREQUALIFICATION OF FIRMS: The Postal Service is seeking Qualification Statements from entities whose sole business is providing Construction Cost Estimating Services (CCES), and wishes to become Prequalified for award of an Indefinite Quantity Contract(s) (IQC). Entities must be capable of providing services in support of USPS construction projects planned for a nationwide facilities program to include all 50 states and trust territories. The CCES firm(s) may joint venture or partner with other entities to supplement their own in-house capabilities. The Postal Service intends to issue Request for Proposals (RFP) only to the firms who become prequalified. The scope of each work order and the level of services provided by the CCES will be determined solely at the discretion of the Postal Service. The services provided by the CCES may be self-performed or subcontracted. Respondents must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience as a Construction Cost Estimating Services Entity, and completion or ongoing of five (5) Comparable Projects and ten (10) Non Comparable Projects in the past five years. ?Comparable Projects? are defined as projects 20,000 to 750,000 sq. ft. warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, processing plant, or mail handling/processing plant valued greater than $10 million dollars. ?Non Comparable Projects? are defined as all other projects valued greater than $5 million dollars. The financial stability and management plan of each respondent will also be evaluated during the prequalification process to determine the firm?s capability to perform. Only the highest qualified and financially capable firms will be prequalified. Qualification packages are now available, and may be obtained by written request to U.S. Postal Service, ATTENTION: Jim Allen, 4301 Wilson Blvd., Suite 300, Arlington, VA 22203-1861. You may also fax your request to Mr. Allen at 703-526-2710 or email him at james.g.allen@usps.gov. Qualification Statements are due April 13, 2004, by 11:00 A.M. EST. The completed statements should be delivered via one of the many services provided by the Postal Service or hand delivered to Jim Allen, 4301 Wilson Blvd., Suite 300, Arlington, VA.
