- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to respond to technical questions submitted against RFP Number N00173-04-R-RS04. The Government hereby responds to the following questions: Question 1: Is software implementation of feed configuration acceptable or is a physical controller required? Answer 1: See Attachment 1 ? Specification for an L/S X-Band Antenna System, paragraph 2.3.0 entitled Computer Interface Unit, which states: "...The required system shall include a computer interface unit..." Question 2: As we understand, no modification to the existing antenna system controller is desired for this procurement. Answer 2: See Attachment 1 ? Specification for an L/S X-Band Antenna System, paragraph 1.0 entitled Synopsis, which states: ...Any proposed solution to this requirement shall be functionally and operationally compatible with the Government's existing equipment, which is described in greater detail in Section 2.2.10 of the specification.... Question 3: It is the intent of the Offeror to provide the Interface Control Document for these feeds to allow the Government to directly communicate feed configurations using existing station control assets and software. Would this approach be acceptable? Answer 3: In accordance with FAR 15.306(b), it is inappropriate for the Government to comment on the proposed solution of an Offeror at this time. The Offeror is solely responsible for development of their proposed response to the stated requirements of the Government.
