Description
Sources Sought. The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for 1) Stk. No. 6115-01-383-0760, Caterpillar Marine Generator Set, Model 3306B DITA (Direct Injection Turbocharged Aftercooled), Arrangement No. 184-7248, rated at 190 eKW @ 1800 rpm, 0.8 pf, 238 kVA (Voltage to be 450 VAC). Engine to be heat exchanger cooled. Quantity: 9 Sets. The 3306B DITA is a direct replacement for 210WMEC Vessels. Long term preservation per Caterpillar special instruction SEHS9031-01. Bar coding required. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to Receiving Room, U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. It is the Government's belief that only Caterpillar and/or their authorized distributors can furnish the required part and ensure the proper form, fit and function of all it's components. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the generator set are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within 15 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. Additionally, other potential sources desiring to furnish other than a Caterpillar generator set are required to submit the following information: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. See Number Notes 12, 22. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and HSAR 3006.302-1. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.
