Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Program Manager for Navy Marine Corps Intranet and Information Technology Infrastructure (PM NMCI/ITI), is conducting a market survey to determine qualified computer software vendors capable of meeting a Marine Corps need for Active Directory and Exchange migration/synchronization software. The specific requirements for each unit or domain at a minimum include: 1. All NT user accounts and passwords must be migrated into Windows 200x Active Directory, while SID history is also migrated, so users can continue to access resources in the source domain. 2. All source domain shared data must be migrated to the target domain while maintaining access by updating the associated permissions to reflect the new accounts in the target domain so user access to the data is uninterrupted. 3. All migration steps must be accomplished without interrupting the end user. For example: The end user must not be forced logout, leave the workstation for another, remember a new password or provide any password to any migration administrator. 4. The migration application must permit coexistence and synchronization of all Exchange server source and target data. This data includes shared calendars, public folders, permissions and mailboxes, so users are not divided between two environments. The application allows users to continue sending and receiving e-mail, access calendars and public folders seamlessly during all stages of the migration. 5. The migration application must transfer all public folder data and update permissions to reflect new mailboxes in the target organization. 6. The migration application must update the permissions on all objects, Outlook profiles, and user profiles on workstations from a central point so all users retain all services and capabilities that were available to them within the source domain. 7. The migration application must transfer user mailboxes and maintain up-to-date calendars and free/busy data to provide seamless collaboration between the source and target domains during the migration period. 8. The migration application must conduct all migration steps from a centralized point with no requirement for an administrator to physically touch an end user workstation other than to double check for possible errors. The goal of this effort is to identify a set of candidate applications; identify their associated risk constraints; and examine such factors as affordability, maturity, commerciality, and other market considerations. Vendors of commercial products that meet the above minimum requirements are invited to submit their capabilities statement. The following materials must be included in the submission: Statement of capabilities; Current GSA schedule contract information and pricing schedule or other contract means; and, Other matter directly addressing the products ability to meet the aforementioned needs (interested vendors must address all 8 requirements/capabilities) Interested firms are requested to respond NLT 22 April 2004, identifying their business size and corporate point of contact. Interested sources should respond to: (U. S. Mail address) Commander, Marine Corps Systems Command, ATTN : PM NMCI/ITI (R. A. Glover) 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, VA 22134-5010 . Express/overnight deliveries should us the same address. Any questions regarding the submission of materials should be addressed to Ms Christine Kuney, (703 784-0883). THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY ITEM/SERVICES, NOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR THE INFORMATION RECEIVED. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS.
