Description
Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), the current PrISMS Mission Prime Contractor to NASA Marshall Space Flight Center is supporting Arcata Associates, Inc., the new Acquisition Services subcontractor under the UNITeS Mission Prime Contract, during the transition period between Prime Contracts. This notice is Arcata's notification of their intent to negotiate on an emergency sole source basis only with Sungard Recovery Services, Inc. towards award of a three (3) year (Base w/2 option years) commercial purchase order. The contract agreement will be effective as of 1 April 2004 and provide for monthly subscription fees which allows Arcata the "rights to declare disaster", specific test periods for both the mainframe and midrange environment on an annual basis, and mainframe and midrange level computer facilities and communications network if an actual disaster should occur. The test environment and disaster environment covering the mainframe equipment and midrange equipment is identified by the attached listings contained in the attached WORD 2000, 9.0 files. To be considered a viable offeror, any interested party must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide the necessary computer and communications capability to support Arcata's test requirements (three 48 hr test periods for the mainframe and two 48 hr test periods for the midrange) and the capability to support Arcata in case of an actual disaster for up to six (6) weeks covering any and all equipment. A mandatory requirement is for the supplier to have multiple (minimum of two) locations that can provide both test and/or disaster recovery services for both the mainframe and midrange systems simultaneously. Interested parties have seven (7) days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities and ROM pricing to the undersigned at the Internet Address listed below. A determination by CSC to not award this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based on the information provided, is solely within the discretion of CSC. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this synopsis.
