Description

Work consists of furnishing all parts, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, services and supervision necessary to renovate the old education office, building 3189, Scott AFB IL, according to the plans and specification for Project VDYD03-0331. Principal items of work include, but are not limited to, the following: removing existing partitions, non-load bearing walls, provide ceiling, carpet, paint, mechanical, and electrical work associated with the renovation. This is a Reqeust for Proposal (RFP), best value solicitation in accordance with FAR 15. There will be no public bid opening. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220/SIC 1542. This acquisition is being considered for a HUBZone set-aside. If your firm is HUBZone certified and intends to propose on this acquisition, you must provide the following information to the contracting officer, in writing, no later than ten (10) days after the publication of this notice: (a) SBA certification of HUBZone eligibility; (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor: (c) evidence of recent (within past 3 years) and relevant experience (work similar in type and scope) to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact with telephone numbers; and (d) evidence of bonding capability for this project. Otherwise the solicitation will be issued unrestricted pursuant to the small business competitiveness demonstration program. Mail or fax copies are preferred. Send correspondence to 375 CONS/LGCA, Attn: SSgt Jefferson, 201 E. Winters St., Bldg 50, Scott AFB IL 62225-5015. The fax number is (618) 256-2652. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about 5 April 2004. The entire solicitation, including the specifications and drawings will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Web Site at www.eps.gov. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. potential offers must register at www.eps.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration databaseor their proposal will not be considered. Contractors can obtain further information on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at web site www.ccr.gov. Prospective offerors who would like their company name included on the bidders mailing list (planholder's list) may do so on the fedbizopps website under IVL (Interested Vendor's List). This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs.
