Description
This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting names of United States Construction firms, International Construction Firms and Joint Ventures interested in submitting an offer on the below described project. To be considered a United States' Fir m, the firm must: be incorporated in the U.S.; have its corporate headquarters in the U.S.; the firm must have filed corporate and employment tax returns in the U.S.for a minimum of two (2) years (if required); has filed State and Federal income tax return s for two (2) years (if required) and has paid any taxes as a result of these filings; and the firm employs U.S. Citizens in key management positions. Construction Surety will be required. The magnitude of this project is in excess of $10,000,000.00. PRO POSAL BID PERIOD: This solicitation is tentatively scheduled for release on or about 7 April 2004 and the proposal due date is 6 May 2004. Do not send a request or call if this solicitation is delayed for any reason. Firms requesting the solicitation will receive the solicitation when issued. PROJECT SCOPE: The Project entails construction of a 12 MW, 11 kV power plant at Victory Base in support of a population of 3,500 personnel. Site work includes clearing, grubbing, and leveling area for power plant an d operator's building. Power Plant will consist of individual enclosed generator platforms, a modular control room, modular switchgear, and required fuel system. A modular plant operator's facility will be constructed to provide an area for 24-hour plant o perators, to be used as an office area, and bunkhouse (with latrine, shower, and septic tank). Hard copies of both a technical and price proposal will be required.
