Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District has a requirement for the above subject. This is not a solicitation announcement and not a request for proposal and does not obligate the government to any contract award. The purpose of this Sour ces Sought is to determine interest and capability of potential 8(a)or HubZone Small Business Concerns to perform as prime contractors for this project. Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the government to make an appropriate procurement dec ision. It is requested that you review the draft scope of work listed. Draft scope of work - (1) Repair existing south jetty gauge as follows: (a) cut-off structure below the floor framing, above the water at approximate elevation +1.0 msl at existing H- piles legs & set on barge. Repair or replace damage steel bracing and realign the structure as needed. (b) pull exisiting H-piles and replace with new piles (c) install new flange bolt-up connection on the pile tops and bottoms of repaired structure legs . The new construction must achieve same strength as the pile weld that was the original means of installing the structure to the piles (d) drive new piles to grade and bolt structure to the top of piles. (2) Realign the structure and replace all bolted connections with 3/16 stainless bolt-up sets on the existing structure. (Platform, stairway, handrails and grating) (3) Replace missing grating on the south jetty fender platform (4) replace missing grating on the north jetty fender system. (4) Please indicate if your firm will submit a quote for this project if this requirement is set aside for 8(a) or HubZone Small Bu siness Concern. Firms responding to this Sources Sought who fail to provide ALL of the required information will not be used to help the government make the acquisition decision which is the intent of this Sources Sought.
