Description
Medical Supplies - Potential Sources Sought Military Hospitals - (Army, Navy, Air Force) TRICARE Regions 9 and 10 Oximetry Sensors and Monitors - Standardization Point of Contact: Cindy Ingrao, Clinical Consultant, Tri-Service Regional Business Office, TRICARE Regions 9 & 10, San Diego, CA. Telephone: (619) 532-8517. Potential sources sought to participate in the regional standardization of Oximetry Sensors and Monitors. TRICARE Regions 9 and 10, a military integrated delivery network (IDN), comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force medical treatment centers in California are in the process of standardizing Oximetry Sensors and Monitors. Other TRICARE Regions may decide to work with Regions 9 and 10 as we go through the process. If your company currently holds or is in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia (DSCP), your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. Please respond by Email: cingrao@reg9.med.navy.mil and provide your (a) company name, (b) address, (c) point of contact, (d) telephone, (e) fax number, (f) E-mail address, and (e) answers to the below listed questions no later than April 2, 2004. For questions, please call (619) 532-8517. 1. Does your company manufacture pulse oximetry sensors and monitors? 2. Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor? 3. What is your DAPA Number? 4. Under what brand(s) does your company manufacture or distribute your products? 5. Under what standards are your sensors and monitors manufactured? 6. Are your products latex free? 7. Do you use non-toxic, color fast dyes for labeling on your products? 8. What material are your sensors made of? 9. Can your sensors be used with other manufacturers? monitors (oximetry and physiologic)? If so, can you provide certification documentation of such compatibility? 10.Does your company manufacture sensors that are single-use and/or reusable? If so, can either type be recycled? 11.What styles do your oximetry sensors come in? 12.Does your company have sensors that can be used for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and special populations where a finger sensor is not appropriate? 13.How long does it take for the signal to be picked up by the oximetry machine? 14.Do your sensors come in sterile packaging? 15.Can your sensors function accurately through motion, during low perfusion states and under extremes of pressure and temperature? 16.How does your sensor deal with weak or extraneous signals? 17.Do your sensors have the capability of traveling with the patient? Can your sensor be used with a handheld, continuous and multi-parameter monitor? 18.Do your sensors have a memory? If so, what are the specifications? 19.What types of monitors does your company manufacture? 20.Does your company offer technical support? If so, what are the terms? 21.Does your company offer maintenance for its monitors? If so what are the terms? 22.What types of educational tools or materials do you have for this product line? 23.What kind of staff training does your company provide? 24.Does your company provide customer service 24/7? 25.Is there any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group?
