- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a sole source basis, renewal of a Multi-Site Subscription to the Healthcare Risk Control System. The Healthcare Risk Control System, as disseminated by the Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI), covers all risk control while providing expert guidance and risk management tools for today?s ongoing challenges. The proposed sole source contractor, ECRI is the only source that provides a combined package of written, referenced materials covering the scope of both risk management and patient safety, while also providing online web based services including access to several ECRI databases. These databases include hundreds of thousands of abstracts from peer-reviewed technical and clinical literature. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with the sole source contractor identified above under the authority of the Clinger-Cohen act. The authority is section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). The one-year subscription renewal is to be effective on 01 June 2004. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within four days after the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A firm fixed price purchase order is expected to result from this acquisition. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 511120.
