Description
The Marine Corps has a Mission Need Statement for a rugged external display to be used with the Mounted Data Automated Communication Terminal (M-DACT). Responses to this request for information should be for a rugged militarized solution that will provide: An external display which is MIL-STD-810F and Mil-STD-461 C for Navy Ground compliant and as a minimum have the following features: 1) 10.4 inch color TFT display (800 x 600 minimum), 2) Capable to be connected to the M-DACT 15-pin D Sub-miniature (VGA) input, 3) Touch screen interface Capable to be connected to the M-DACT via 9-pin D-Sub-miniature RS-232 Serial port, 4) Resolution up to 768 x 1024, 5) Luminance of 200 Foot-lamberts minimum, 6) Maximum dimensions of 10.5? H x 11.5? W x 2? D, 7) Weight less than 10 pounds, 8) Input Voltage 18 to 32 VDC, 50W Maximum (above 0?C), 9) Temperature, Operating: -30?C to +60?C, Storage: -40?C to +71?C, 10) Sand (with carrying field case / cover while assembled in an open vehicle) and Dust Proof, 11) Splash and Rain Proof, 12) Operational Vibration per MIL-STD-810F Figure 514.5C-3 Composite Wheeled Vehicles (using appropriate mounting device), and 13) Functional Shock: 40 Gs, 1/2 sine, 6-9ms (using appropriate mounting device). All vendors having the capability of meeting these requirements are requested to submit copies of relevant documentation in response to this Request for Information at no cost to the Government. Written responses should be submitted not later than close of business 29 March 2004. Firms should also include literature, brochures, and capabilities summaries directly addressing their ability to meet the aforementioned needs. The submission of the product information should not be construed as a commitment to procure equipment. The Government will not pay for any information submitted. No telephonic responses will be accepted.
