- Description
- The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary requires ongoing monitoring studies and has developed an ecosystem monitoring program, SIMoN (Sanctuary Integrated Monitoring Network), in collaboration with research institutions throughout the Central California region. The goals of SIMoN are to (1) integrate existing monitoring conducted in the Sanctuary (2) initiate basic surveys or characterizations of all habitats and regions of the Sanctuary (3) initiate specific, question driven monitoring efforts with fixed duration (4) establish a series of essential long-term monitoring efforts that will continue into the future, and (5) provide timely and pertinent information to managers and decisions makers, the research community, and general public. Due to tightening of NOAA IT security, giving off-site access to Government servers and workstations is no longer an option. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. The period of performance is for one (1) base year with four (4) one-year options. This procurement is a not a small business set-aside, but available to all firms capable of performing these services. All contractors doing business with the Government are now required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award, all offerors must have a Dunn & Bradstreet Number. A Dunn & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dunn & Bradstreet on line at https://www.dnb.com/product/eupdate/requestOptions.html or by phone at (800) 333 0505. Documents for the Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available on or about April 7, 2004, to download through the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION] and [REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR] feature which provides notification when the RFP becomes available for download and all postings associated with the solicitation, thereafter. Each potential offeror is responsible for checking this website to gain all the current information available. Any further announcements regarding this solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The NAICS Code is 541519. Technical questions regarding this solicitation should be in writing and addressed to judi.m.jzyk@noaa.gov. All responsible, responsive sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the Agency.
