Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract for GE Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), which includes PACS database and PACS networking. The VA Medical Center, New Orleans, Louisiana intends to enter into negotations with GE Medical to provide service and preventative maintenance for the PACS System. The Contractor shall provide all parts, software updates, GE PACS networking, preventative maintenance, on-site service, tip-tv and remote system monitoring. Labor is included as part of the coverage from 8:00am to 5:00pm., Monday through Friday. Holiday coverage is required for database maintenance. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302 and Part l5. The authority cited and justification made is based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied from only GE. This notice is for information only and may represent the only official notice of such solicitation. Only contractors that are regularly established in the business, with qualified staff that are trained and experienced on this equipment will be considered. A determination by the Government not to open the requirements to competition is based upon responses to this notice and is soley within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties should send in demonstrated ability to provide this service to the Contracting Office by Wednesday, March 31, 2004.
