- Description
- Solicitation N62836-04-Q-0627. Planned due date: 3 May 2004. The requirement is to replace with new overhead electric bridge cranes for Building 1922 at the Naval Ship Repair Facility (NSRF) Yokosuka, Japan. Requirement for warranty services in Japan. RFQ issue date o/a 8 April 2004. Delivery requirements: The Government intends to award an indefinite quantity (IQ) contract and issue task orders for up to eighteen months after award of the contract. The minimum order amount is established at one bridge crane (item A001 of enclosure (1)). The Government will order no more than four cranes in any twelve-month period. The contractor shall have a maximum of four months from date of order to complete installation of the first crane. For multiple crane orders, the last crane shall be installed within 12 months of date of order. FOB destination. The crane shall be a standard commercial design incorporating the additional features required by the specification. Cranes shall have top running double girder bridges with top running trolleys. All cranes shall have a wire rope hoist, and shall meet the dimensional and functional requirements. Travel truck systems shall be designed to meet the existing building rail condition. The existing main power no fuse breaker is required to be replaced with earth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) to provide ground fault protection for all cranes. The contract shall include the full time service of the contractor?s representative during demolition, unpacking, installation, operational adjustments, and testing of the crane at the installation site. The contractor?s representative shall be fluent in both the English and Japanese languages. The items under this procurement are subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All quotes shall be in the English language and priced in either U.S. dollars or Japanese yen. This will be an electronic solicitation only in .PDF format. No paper solicitations will be issued.
