- Description
- The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) seeks information as to potential sources that can provide services to engineer a design/built project for a chiller unit and all necessary piping to provide air conditioning for four (4) floors of a building at Nathan Hale Depot in Darmstadt, Germany. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS; there is no solicitation available at this time. No response will be provided for requests for a solicitation. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS PUBLISHED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Government's minimum requirements for the chiller unit project are as follows: (1) Contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, coordination, purchasing of all equipment and associated piping required for the installation; (2) Conduct a field survey of all four floors for the best possible route for the installation of piping from new chiller unit to the building; (3) Provide mechanical engineering evaluation to determine cost-effective solutions to provide cooling capability to all four floors; (4) Provide electrical engineering services by providing an engineering evaluation to determine that the facility has the necessary electrical power to support this type of system; (5) Provide As-Built drawings in CAD format; (6) Provide operations and maintenance manuals for all equipment installed; (7) Provide training for all maintenance systems covering all HVAC equipment; (8) Provide a list of warranty items with start and expiration dates; (9) Contractor must possess and able to maintain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance. This SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS is NOT a Request for Proposals (RFP); it is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing an RFP. Any information submitted by respondents as a result of this synopsis is strictly voluntary. This synopsis is for information planning purposes and the Government will not pay or otherwise reimburse respondents for information submitted. Prospective suppliers are requested to provide company literature and/or provide a capability summary not to exceed five (5) pages in length describing their relevant corporate experience providing these types of services in support of U.S. Government facilities at OCONUS locations.
