Description

THIS SOLICITATION IS CANCELLED IN ITS ENTIRETY AND REPLACED WITH SOLICITATION NUMBER FA4830-04-Q-0030. Moody AFB intends to award a sole-source (sole manufacturer) contract for 50 each SIMULA load bearing extraction vests, size regular, part number 632100-1, color desert tan and 25 each SIMULA load bearing extraction vests, size large, part number 632100-3, color desert tan, manufactured by SIMULA under the authority of 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C 2304 (C)(1). This requirement is set aside for 100% small business. The SIC is 3842; size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 339113; the size standard is 500 employees. The government requires purchase of Safety Equipment International (aka SIMULA) load bearing extraction vest as they are essential for HH-60 rescue operations. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the government. This notice of intent is not for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. Award will not be made on the basis of responses to this synopsis. Firms responding to this synopsis should reference the solicitation number and indicate their business size as defined by FAR 52.219. Inquires concerning this synopsis must be in writing and may be faxed to 229-257-40032. Numbered Note 22 applies with the following revision: “all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government.” NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (23-MAR-2004); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
