Description
This requirement is for the purchase of a Pneumatic Pressure Gauge Calibrator (PPGC). The PPGC is primarily intended to calibrate analog and digital pressure gauges using gas as the pressure medium. Items offered shall be commercially available. The 10,000-psi pneumatic pressure calibration system is a high-pressure controller/calibrator. The PPGC is a gauge calibration system made up of a supply component, an adjustment component and a measurement component. The supply component/booster boost a standard gas pressure supply to the high pressure required by the system. The adjustment component is used both to rapidly set pressure when cycling gauges and for precise pressure adjustment when calibrating gauges. The measurement component provides the precision and stability over time to support the intended test instruments with a minimum calibration interval of 1 year. The supply component is separate from the adjustment and measurement components. The operator interfaces with the system using simple front panel controls and menu instructions. The PPGC shall have automatic head corrections, onboard programmable calibration sequences, and valve driver option for system design and integrated liquid trap for protection against contamination from the test system. AFMETCAL Det1 intends to award a commercial order utilizing best value basic source selection and simplified acquisition procedures under FAR part 12 and 13. The basic order quantity will be for 25 each, additional data, and provisioning data will also be required. A standard 1-year warranty will be required. An FY-05 option for an additional quantity of 0-25, and an FY-06 option for 0-26 will also be included. A first article test of 2 units will be required. Units will be shipped to AFMETCAL Det1, Heath, OH. Delivery shall be FOB destination. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued approximately 24 Feb 2004, with a due date of 24 Mar 2004. The solicitation package including purchase description will be posted at this site. Fax and email responses are acceptable. Responses should b directed to Lisa Engle, Contract Specialist at AFMETCAL Det1/MLK, 813 Irving Wick Dr. W., Bldg 2, Heath, OH 43056-6116. FAX 740-788-5157. lisa.engle@afmetcal.af.mil
