Description
This notice attempts to identify additional sources for a future competitively solicited, firm-fixed price contract in support of the TD-1456/VRC, Frequency Hopping Multiplexer (FHMUX). The FHMUX is an antenna multicoupler, connects four Single Chan nel Ground and Airborne Radio Systems (SINCGARS) radios to a single antenna. The FHMUX reduces visual signature of the command vehicle, reduces Collocated Net-to-Net interference (Cosite), and reduces set up time for the command post. The awarded contrac t will be a five-year, requirements type contract. The contractor shall provide end items, Shop Replaceable Units (SRUs) and spares (replaceable subassemblies and parts of end items that are normally stocked by CECOM item managers at government depot) for the TD-1465/VRC. A list of the deliverable end items, spare parts, as well as SRUs, is available (additional items may be added at a later date). A complete Technical Data Package (TDP) is not available. Additional engineering efforts will be required by prospective contractors in order to successfully produce these items. Potential bidders shall have demonstrated capabilities in dealing with militarized frequency hopping multiplexer or similar equipment. The proposed contract will also include repair ser vices. Feedback is welcomed within 30 days of this posting. In the event that your firm has an interest in bidding this proposed solicitation, request that your response be forwarded to the Contracting Officer, Michael Neeb at (732) 532-5512 or Michael.Nee b@us.army.mil. Your response should include at a minimum your company name, address, cage code, and a technical point of contact.
