- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas intends to award a single contract for the following service: Pharmacy Technician Services (3 positions). The service will be provided at the United States Penitentiary located at 601 McDonough Boulevard, S.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30315. Requirements for the contract include, but are not limited to the following: Assisting the Medical Staff and Pharmacist with filling and preparing daily prescriptions which is approximately 250 to 300 prescriptions per day for the inmate population at sick call, A & O physical and any specialty clinic as required for the inmate population. Will on a routine basis run the daily pill lines and dispense medications as ordered and directed, filing of medical records and reports as needed, assist the Pharmacist in ensuring that only medications listed in the approved Bureau of Prisons Formulary are dispensed and will ensure that requests for Non-Formulary Medications are initiated and submitted to the BOP Chief Pharmacist for approval, any other duties that the assigned and shall adhere to all standards and regulations associated with Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) and the American Corrections Association Foundation/CORE Standards for adult Correctional Institutions. Additionally, the Contractor shall be required to maintain a system of records on inmates in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 52.224?1 Privacy Act Notification, and 52.224-2 Privacy Act. The resulting contract will consist of a Base Year period not to exceed 12 consecutive months from the date of award with four 12-month option periods for renewal, if exercised. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be indefinite delivery requirements type contract with a firm-fixed unit price and be a single award. This solicitation is set-a-side for small business and all responsible quotes will be considered. The North American Industry Classification System code for this service is 621399 and the applicable small business size standard is $6M. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 19, 2004. Upon issuance, solicitation packages may be accessed electronically at this website. Hard copies of this solicitation will not be available as the site provides downloading instructions.
