Description

The VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre is soliciting SF 254s and SF 255s from all qualified large and small businesses within 25 driving miles of the VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre. The firm shall provide a complete HVAC survey of the Medical Center HVAC units that currently serve the facility for environmental conditions. Professional engineering work for this project shall be based on the following scope of work: Complete a facility survey of all HVAC systems, studying the following systems: air handlers, dx systems, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, heat piping systems, chilled water piping systems, exhaust air, humidification and indoor air quality. A/E shall make recommendations as to suggested improvements to the existing systems based on age and wear of the HVAC systems. Recommendatons shall also be based on current codes, including VA, ASHRAE, and NFPA. A/E shall also sumbit a plan for future infrastructure improvement of the systems studied based on the function of the system and actual need to aleviate any loss of services in the future. NAICS Code is 541330. See numbered note 24. No bid packages are available. This is NOT a Request For Proposal (RFP). Award is subject to availability of funds. FAXED COPIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Interested firms must submit two (2) copies of SF 254 and SF 255 with appropriate documentation to Karen Whalen, Contracting Officer (049B) VA Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 by 4:30 pm on April 16, 2004.
