Description

RUSKA PRIMARY PRESSURE CALIBRATION SYSTEM The solicitation number is FA8601-04-T-0054. The proposed contract is for commodities for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The proposed source is Ruska Instrument Corporation. The items being purchased are as follows: Autofloat compatible instrument base with bell jar, motor drive with auto-rotation, electronic float position detection, level vial and three point leveling system; low range piston/cylinder, 0.2 to 25 psi; lower mid range piston/cylinder, 2.0 to 100 psi; high range piston/cylinder 2.0 to 1000 psi; mass set 6kg, with trim mass set, 300 series stainless steel calibrated to 5 ppm; piston guage monitor; lab environment monitor; vacuum sensor kit to monitor bell jar vacuum; adapter kit with RTD for piston temp measurement; lines and fittings kit. The government anticipates a sole source award to Ruska Instrument Corporation for the following reason: The items being purchased are replacement parts required to return the existing Ruska Primary Pressure Calibration Standard System to required specifications. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
