Description

This acquisition is for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for surface preparation and application of various protective coatings and finishes to exterior and interior surfaces, remove and dispose of existing paint containing lead and/or asbestos at March ARB CA. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the application of protective coatings to the exterior and/or interior surfaces at facilities and fuel sites. This is a unit price contract. The solicitation will be issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and the government anticipates awarding a base period from the date of award through 12 months or 31 May 2005, whichever is later, with two one-year options that will result in a fixed-price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract. The magnitude of the maximum amount is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000, including all options. The applicable North American Industry Classification is 238320, and small business size standard is $12,000,000. A bid bond is required. The sealed bid will be awarded without discussion to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government considering price and price-related factors. This solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 7 April 2004, on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.FedBizOpps.gov, with a proposal receipt date on or about 12 May 2004. Paper copies will not be available. After the solicitation is posted, interested parties are encouraged to register on the ?Register as Interested Vendor? listing and cautioned to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments. NOTE: All prospective contractors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for contract award. Registration may take up to three weeks to complete, so we recommend immediate attention to ensure eligibility. For registration, go to http://www.ccr.gov and follow the instructions. A pre-proposal conference/site visit will be held on 20 April 2004 at 10:00 a.m. interested parties will meet in the Operational Contracting Office conference room, 1940 Graeber Street, Bldg 449, March ARB CA. Potential offerors planning to attend the pre-proposal conference are requested to submit their names to the individual listed below after the procurement package has been downloaded.
