- STATEMENT OF WORK FOR SPRAY BOOTH (BLDG 157) 1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, and labor necessary to install the paint spray booth into Hangar 4 as defined in this Statement of Work (SOW) at Spangdahlem Air Base. The booth will be certified to meet US and European Rules and Regulations for air pollution, environmental controls, safety, and Health and National Fire Protection Association requirements. The government will only provide the facility to erect the spray booth. 2. REQUEST OF SERVICES. The contractor is required to perform a site survey of the existing facility and to let Corrosion Control know their electrical requirements so we can inform the 52nd Civil Engineering Squadron on the increased voltage requirements. The following will be the minimum requirements of the spray booth SPRAY BOOTH: Industrial, Cross draft, Pressurized, Solid Back Paint Spray Booth with filter bank Approximate Working Dimensions: 20? wide x 16? high x 36? deep Minimum Air Flow velocity of 100 fpm across the exhaust filters Fluorescent light fixtures, 48" 4-tube, explosion proof, with no shadows put off by the lighting. Light fixtures need to be inside serviceable for change out. 2 each personnel access doors with clear tempered window and panic bar 3/4?3-way solenoid valve to prevent spraying in booth when fans are off Manometer required to monitor paint overspray build-up on exhaust filters 1-ton manual monorail beams to handle 2 ea manual chain lift hoist trolleys, length of spray booth (hoists need to be included in quote) Main Electrical Control Panel Heated No. 2 Indirect Oil Fired Air Makeup Handling Unit to European Specifications to replace the exhaust air from the paint spray booth. Auto Balance System Requires Installation, handling, initial training, piping, intake and exhaust ductwork. The exhaust fan needs to be non-sparking. Fire Protection to include installation of water sprinkler and AFFF system Booth doors will be hinged and be fitted to the door opening PAINT MIXING ROOM: The booth will be approximate 12 feet length and 8 feet wide. The booth will be outfitted with work table 24? x 60? with stainless steel counter top. The room will also be fitted with exhaust ventilation system to remove hazardous fumes and will be outfitted with the same Fire Protection Codes as the spray booth. There will be two personnel doors with clear tempered window and panic bars for the room. One door will access the spray booth area and the other door will be a means of egress from the facility. BREATHING AIR SYSTEM: The contractor will be responsible to install the breathing air system provided by 52 EMS/MXMFS AIR COMPRESSED SYSTEM: The air-compressed system will require installment by the contractor. The contractor will provide rotary screw compressor, air dryer and storage tank for installation at the spray booth. The rotary screw compressor can be combined with refrigeration dryer. The max bar required is 10. The contractor will provide the necessary piping to the spray booth and install five regulators. Each regulator will have a minimum of three outlets to run other equipment. The regulators will be fitted with pounds square inch gauges (PSI) up to 120-PSI maximum of pressure. Four regulators will be installed inside the spray booth and one will be installed in the paint mixing room. 3. All bids submitted through contracting will require final approval by 52 CES/CEV and Bio-Environmental Flight to ensure the equipment meets United States Standards.
