Description
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is prequalifying resources to staff two (2)National Law Enforcement Control Centers (NLECC) ? one in Dulles VA and the other in Fort Worth TX. Both centers will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24X7). The NLECCs will be tightly secured operations. Approximately 60 qualified resources will be needed, 30 at each center to staff the NLECCs. The resources will be qualified radio dispatchers who will monitor Inspection Service radio traffic ? which is approximately 5,000 radio units, and will also monitor approximately 11,000 intrusion detection systems ? both on a nationwide basis. Alarm monitoring will include operation of alarm automation software, and data entry of incident reporting, as well as resolution of alarm events. Alarm events will require contact with local law enforcement and notification of Postal and Inspection Service personnel. Primary responsibility for each center will rest with an Inspection Service Manager. Each center will also accept and transfer emergency phone calls, and process requests for information from various intelligence databases. All contracted staff must be capable of obtaining a Sensitive/Top Secret Security Clearance.
