Description

Remove/replace a damaged bridge across Hazel Creek, and perform repair work to flood damaged Hazel Creek Road at several locations extending approximately 3 miles upstream of the bridge site. The Hazel Creek bridge is located approximately 2 miles north of Fontana Lake in Swain County, North Carolina in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The project site is approximately 100 miles west of Asheville, NC and 70 miles south of Knoxville, TN. The project site is ONLY accessible by boat/barge. Contact Jim Walker at 865-436-1240 to arrange a site visit and to obtain additional information. Estimated price range is $500,000 - $1,000,000 and is subject to full and open competition. The bid packet will be available for download at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 4-5-2004. NO hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
