Description

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) hereby notifies their intent to award a lease to FAE Enterprises, Inc., 645 Summer Street, Boston, MA 02130, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. To facilitate accommodating the returning of the Jacqueline B. Kennedy dress collection from the Paris, France tour, to expeditiously move the other Kennedy collections from the construction room sites, and to share in the overall cost of an offsite storage of the NARA JFK materials, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation entered into a storage lease agreement with FAE for November, 2003 to October, 2004. It is the agency?s intent to remain in the current space with this follow on lease. Occupancy is required by October 1, 2004. The lease services include the current existing built out of 10,000 square feet of alarmed, climate controlled, private storage space in accordance with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) standards. These include 36CFR1228 subpart K, NARA 1571, and the Architectural and Design Standards for Presidential Libraries. Because of security response time from the agency security guards, the facility must be within 20 minutes, or 10 miles from the current library at Columbia Point. The term of the new lease is to be a base year with nine option years (10 years total). The estimated lease cost range is $200,000 to $250,000 per annum. The agency will consider other responsible requests for SFO, if received no later than 15 days from the date of this notice, to the National Archives and Records Administration, Space and Security Management Division, Real Property Management Branch (NASR), Room 1150, 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, MD 20740, ATTN: Ronald C.
