Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice only for 8(a) and Native American certified firms (both certification required) in NAICS 541330 for Military Services. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This planning is for an acquisition that will pro vide technical performance in accomplishing tasks related to the mission of the Product Manager, Defense Communications Systems - CONUS (PM DCS-C) located at Fort Monmouth, New Jersy. The work will be performed world-wide. DCS-C provides a robust and sca lable networked information infrastructure in support of Army installations, other support activities and deployed combat forces. Through a variety of voice, data and information assurance programs, DCS-C provides high capacity capabilities and near real t ime throughput for data, cable and voice solutions in support of sustainment, contingencies and split based operations including the infrastructure in support of the Home Station Operation Centers (HSOC). DCS-C is a critical enabler for Army Enterprise, Ar my Knowledge Management, and Army Transformation. A solicitation, if issued, will be a Request for Proposal (RFP) resulting in competitive BPAs with competitive placement of orders. A best value source selection will likely be the method of contractor selection. It is anticipated that the contract performance period will be five years. The anticipated contract type will be Fixed Price. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is anticipated to be 541330. The set-aside p reference if any is anticipated to be 8(a) and Native American (firms must possess BOTH certifications) All amendments and future notice will be available for viewing on FedBizOps (FBO) at http://www.eps.gov. It is incumbent upon all interested parti es to review the site frequently for any updates and amendments to any and all documents. This Sources Sought Notice is also issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. Any party capable o f providing these services is invited to respond. Interested parties who believe they posses the expertise and experience shall submit technical capabilities in writing. Interested parties shall address whether they can fulfill the requirements via GSA schedules though awards will not be based on schedules. Any interested firm should submit a capability statement that demonstrates the firm??????s ability to perform the key requirements described above. Standard company brochures will not be conside red a sufficient response. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. The go vernment requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company??????s business size, business status (i.e. small business, 8(a), HUBZone, woman owned, anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. Include contract magnitude and points of contact for each example provided (name of the point of contact (POC), address, e-mail, telephone number, fax number, and the company??????s web page, if applicable). Pl ease limit your response to not more than 20 single sided pages. Each submission should include one electronic (virus scanned) copy sent via e-mail to the POCs listed under Original Point of Contact. Paper copies are optional. Respond to this notic e by 18 April 2004.
