- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Military Sealift Command?s (MSC) request services to perform the following work required. (SEE STATEMENT OF WORK). This requirement is totally set-aside to small business. Only written (fax or email) proposals will be accepted. MSC intend to award the services to Parker Hannifin Corporation, Firmed Fixed Price. Other proposals are welcome and must be received no later than 11:00 AM, 08 April 2004. POINT OF CONTACT: Claire Jones, at 619-553-7678 Fax? 619-767-4736, e-mail: clairta.jones@navy.mil Period of Performance: 19 April through 02 May 2004 Location: Everett, Washington Statement of Work: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Parker Hannifin Corporation to perform the following: First Time Removal: 1.Provide thirty (60) overhauled exchange fuel nozzles, PN 6710297, for LM2500 Gas Turbine Engine (GTE) 2B and 1B Nozzles are ?Ready for Issue? (RFI) quality for installation. RFI nozzles to be accompanied by the individual nozzle test results. 2.Ship?s crew will remove existing nozzles and install OEM provided nozzles to GTE 1A. 3.Old fuel nozzle cores will be returned to OEM within 30 days. OEM to perform as received inspection and testing and repaired in accordance with OEM standards. Any cores returned to OEM determined to be non-repairable will be returned to the USNS Rainier OEM with a nozzle procured from the Federal Stock System. Subsequent Removal 1.OEM will perform as received flow and inspection: TAT 5 days at OEM. 2.Nozzles that pass will be re-certified and returned to the USNS Rainier. 3.Nozzles that fail will be cleaned/repaired/overhauled as required to make serviceable. 4.OEM to provide complete test results with all pertinent data. 5.Test data and repair descriptions will be identified with the engine location for each nozzle as provided by the USNS Rainier. NOTE: MSCREP are welcome to witness the testing and servicing of the fuel nozzles at OEM in Glendale, AZ.
