Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake CA intends to procure on an unrestricted basis parts and labor to retrofit and/or replacement of diesel engines to meet the new California emission threshold. The resulting contract(s) will be Indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ), the Government reserves the right to issue one or more contracts for this work in accordance with the terms of the solicitation N68936-04-R-0039. Included with the RFP will be an inventory list that the contractors will provide pricing to provide pricing for both retrofits and replace of each piece of equipment listed on the inventory. For all retrofits the contractor will have to hire a third party to perform compliance testing. The third party shall be a CARB-approved independent contractor. Contractor personnel who perform the work at the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake CA shall have U.S. citizenship to allow unescorted access to work sites. Additional information will be provided with the RFP. The solicitation will be issued on or about 21 Apr 04 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home pages at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm. The RFP will close 30 days after issuance of the RFP. It is anticipated that award will be made on or about 01 Jul 04.
