- The purpose of this modification is to change the second to last sentence of this announcement. The sentence currently reads "This notice is a market research tool being utilized to determine the types of commercially available water well rigs and optional equipment." This does not apply to this Request For Industry Input. The sentence should read "This notice is a market research tool being utilized to receive recommendations for improvements." This is a Request for Industry Input. The Department of Defense Fuel Facilities Engineering Panel (FFEP) is soliciting recommendations for improvements to the MIL-HDBK-1022A. The subject handbook provides guidance on the planning, engineering, and design of liquid fueling and dispensing facilities; liquefied petroleum gas facilities; and compressed natural gas facilities. The UFC 3-460-1 (MIL-HDBK-1022A) can be found at: http://www.ccb.org/docs/UFC/3_460_01.pdf FFEP would like to gather recommendations from ALL SOURCES for improvements to determine the extent of effort required to update the technical information in this manual All Sources are welcome to submit any changes that they may have to the handbook. These comments may be submitted using the DD Form 1426 form, or any other format that contains the same information as listed on the form. Any recommendations should be furnished by April 23, 2004. All submittal data is requested to be forwarded to NAVFACCO, Attn: Aaron Glazier, NFI Code NF22, 3502 Goodspeed Street Suite 2, Port Hueneme, CA 93043-4337. This Request for Industry Input is for information and planning purposes only and is not a request for quotation, proposal or an invitation for bid. There is no solicitation available and no contract will be awarded on the basis of responses hereto, or any follow-on information requested. This notice is a market research tool being utilized to determine the types of commercially available water well rigs and optional equipment. The government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice.
