- The Government intends to issue Solicitation N65236-04-R-0058 as a sole source commercial item contract pursuant to FAR 13.5 to Data Security, Inc., 729 Q Street, Lincoln, NE 68508-1331. This procurement covers the purchase of TE 9400 Data Cleaner-Evaluator-Eraser and a spare parts kit to for the Mobile Miniature Operations Control Center (MOCC) program and Tactical Support Centers. This acquisition will provide TE 9400 Cleaner-Evaluator-Eraser to preserve and protect DTF/DTF-2 tapes. TE 9400 Cleaner-Evaluator-Eraser must come with the following capabilities: automatically sense cassette type, tape speeds of 120 ips, back-light liquid crystal display to include total defect counter, number of damaged sections, damage location report of tape area, LaserSCAN Detection System that uses Ultra Fine Controlled Line Light Source with virtual edge-to-edge continuous scan capability and does not affect recorded signals. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated. The required delivery date is 15 May 2004. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
