Description
DESCRIPTION: The NAICS code is 541690 with a size standard of $5.0M. The Building and Fire Research Laboratory (BFRL) of the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Contractor to provide assistance to the Fire Research Division to assess whether the depletion of stratospheric ozone by CF3I will be appreciably different from that by CF3BR if deployed under the same circumstances for suppressing in-flight fires in aircraft engine nacelles. The specific tasks are described in the Statement of Work included in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. SB1341-04-Q-0420. The RFQ is being issued utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The period of performance shall be six months from the date the order is placed. The Government anticipates the award of a fixed-price purchase order on or about April 23, 2004. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The RFQ will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained.
