Description

1. The Directorate of US Army CERDEC I2WD proposes to award a Sole Source Contract to Global SATCOM Technology Inc. (GST) for the TROJAN Special Purpose Integrated Remote Intelligence Terminal (SPIRIT) Lightweight Integrated Telecommunications Equip ment (LITE) SATCOM System. This action is anticipated to be a one-time procurement to support Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) mission critical TROJAN SPIRIT LITE system fielding requirements. The system was competitively procured in 2000. The Govern ment does not possess data rights to the technical data, engineering drawings or specifications, which completely define the form, fit and function of the items being procured; and the form, fit and function is not defined by any nationally recognized indu stry standard or specification. Additionally, the TROJAN SPIRIT LITE SATCOM system COTS/NDI design is proprietary to GST. The Government has made significant investment into the existing system configuration baseline, Technical Manuals, Training Materials and Course, SATCOM Certifications, and SATCOM Spares. 2.
